It has been a terrible year, but no one wants to hear bad news, so just forget I mentioned it.Wait, because of the bad, I had the courage to ask Christopher Baldwin, a friend and favorite cartoonist of mine if he would be up for writing a comic for me to draw. I envisioned a female Buck Rogers, a girl Science Hero like Adam Strange, a tough no nonsense fighter in the vein of the Magnus the Robot Fighter. Christopher enthusiastically jumped aboard, and wrote a great story, totally different then what i had envisioned…..and i loved it. Yontengu starts October 14th, at Baldwinpage.com .

I finally came across a comic strip that i wish i had been there the day it launched, ZOMBIE BOY. Mark Stokes uses the medium of cartooning to full advantage and explores all the possibilites one can in this compelling and versatile medium. Even if the art wasn’t good, which it is, excellent in fact! the pacing and gags are perfect. Marks Stokes is teaching a class on cartooning comics strips 3 times a week, and all you have to do is watch and learn! Zombie Boy comics is a comic that should be mentioned in every Webcomic conversation. i implore you to check it out!
Out of the past and into the suburbs as five martial artists from Medieval China are reincarnated as quintuplet toddlers in a Chicago suburb–where their archenemies are waiting, reborn as the mean kids from down the block!
The Terror Tots engage in the eternal struggle between good and evil with the Black Lama, The Monk and the Yak in this super-satire for all ages
There is a Great Bleeding Cool, article on the comic, Paul Frickes art is perfect and Len Strazewski’s story looks intriguing, I highly recommend checking it out. You can also find online comics by Paul Fricke at Blue Moon Toons
My friend Karlo suggested I take a look at a couple of strips and i am glad i did. Mario A. Gonzalez draws 2 strips Wyliman and Clink . I am going to talk about Clink, cause I laughed out loud at the first one i read. I love comics that take place in worlds i can enter only through fiction. So I having a comedy strip that takes place in medieval is just perfect. The art is crisp and expertly done, and joins hands well with Mario’s comedy style. What more can I say, I want to stop writing this and start reading more Clink! So I am, and you should too.
I got introduced To Matt Nelson’s Catbeard The Pirate just as he was wrapping up his Second Kickstarter for Book #2!
Fun,well told storytelling, with a clear cartoonist line, reminiscent of Sakai and Trondheim. Go and read the fun, swashbuckling adventures Of Catbeard and his Mates as they discover ancient creatures and mythical being. Buy his books, (i did) and read my guest strip!
Two Great Science Fiction Books are now on Kickstarter:
My friends Christopher Baldwin and Tom Dell ‘aringa are wrapping up their Sci-fi webcomics and now you can own them. Christopher has the final book of his epic Spacetrawler series up on kickstarter and Tom has concluded his castaway Mars adventure Marooned. I have already signed up for these great books. I highly recommend you get in on these while you can, and get some cool stuff at the same time!
I did a Guest Strip for the fabulously Talented Wouter F. Goedkoop at Cpt Wayne and the Unexplained Dimension . Wayne’s sfi adventure is amazingly rendered with intriguing plots a definite read!
