Well if you didn’t know already, you do now. Our castaway has landed on the tiny strip of sand known as Sable Island.   Over 300 km away from Halifax, the small Nova Scotian Island is about 42 km long and .5 km at its widest. The Sable Island Institute website is a great resource for learning about the Island, so great that when I emailed them asking if they could direct me to some reference pictures of some buildings. Zoe Lucas a biologist who has worked on Sable Island for many years replied to me! I was elated, she has been kind and helpful beyond anything I could have hoped for.  I can’t thank her enough, she has went out of her way to help me get a better picture of the Island. Thanks Zoe!
