I played hockey growing up too, I remember hearing someone a long time ago say “Canada is the best at hockey” and someone else replied” It’s easy to be the best at something when only 5 countrys play it” I laughed, it’s so true, I think bragging rights in sports should maybe be excluded to Track and Field and football (soccer).lol
He he! If I said Canucks are best at hockey where I grew up, I would’ve had Flyers fans showing up at my door with pitchforks and torches.
When I was growing up, Philadelphia seldom had good teams… now the Phillies are in the championship for like the fifth time in a row! Go Phils!
It’s amazing, here in America, how baseball is so big, yet soccer continues to flop. When the U.S. lost to Japan for the women’s cup, I swear no one at work even knew!
I agree with this strip, maybe with the exception of hockey, I don’t know much about it… =P
Haha, way to poke the bear, Don. I personally love hockey (use to play) but I was rootin’ for the bruins this past season ;).
