Achray
The title of this Strip ” Achray” Is named after a beautiful piece of Algonquin Park that my friend Ben and his son visited a few years back. I was looking to my favorite Canadian Painter Tom Thomson’s piece the Pointers, which was painted there for my inspiration. The painting is a Fall piece, but I here i used the setting for early spring.
When I think of Thomson’s work, I always think early spring, and that is because he captured the spring thaw and ice breakup in Northern Ontario so well. The chill and weather are felt so clearly through his art and is why I think many Canadian connect with his work so well.
Happy birthday Don! but it seems that you’re the one who makes us the gift with this strip…
And about the painting, indeed, is so beautiful. I’m both freaked out and fascinated by so many colors in it…
Thanks for the wishes Karlos,.. I’m glad you keep on coming back to enjoy the strip and leave comments.
