Newfoundland Song
This song has been tumbling around in my head for a while now. The strange thing is I haven’t heard this song since we sang it in Kindergarten. Oh those impressionable years.
Like our friend Aldous, when I sing people tend to go to great length to get out of ear shot. I like to sing, no ones else likes me to though.
Thank you for the great strip. I especially appreciate the color work today. It reminds me of a place somewhere between Dr. Suess and Krazy Kat. I like the orange today. Great style and subject.
ha ha ha, well, don’t worry about that, it could be worst, like if you were a “non-english native speaker” trying to sing in English… hehehe (believe me, I know about it).
Amazing colors! I love’em!
@kittencontinues Thanks for dropping in, Yes Krazy Kat is definitely an influence. I sometimes feel constrained by my normal size strip, and I was looking at some Krazy Kat Sunday’s and I thought why not give myself some room to draw as well, and so I did and it was fun to do!
@Karlos I’m sure you can still sing better then me! 🙂
Again, I tell you I like the panels within panels that you do . Good job.
Don: you just made me remember a couple of jokes we use to say here in the office when someone starts to sing…
The first one:
– Oh, you like to sing?
– Yes, I like.
– So, why don’t you learn? (how to sing) hehehe
The sencond one:
– Who sings? (or who’s singing’)
– Is Gordon Lightfoot (for example)
– So, why don’t you let him sing? hehehe
The best part is to look at their reaction!
(oh boy! how difficult is to express these kind of ideas from spanish to english!)
